How can we make building managers more comfortable with their device, to analyse their building performance as well as communicating with third party to fix identified building issues?
GOALS
- Increase Platform adoption from one of Switch most hands-on persona e.i. FM
- Develop a mobile solution with a smaller set of features than the Switch Platform
- Create traction in the work-order industry
PAIN POINTS
Through research and user testing we identified two main problems.
- Facility Manager simply didn’t have time to sit on their laptops when they were always on the go
- The communication between third party, facility managers and tenants was almost nonexistent
SOLUTION
- Event tracking app to align with the Switch Event feature
- Simplify mobile platform to increase focus on fault & anomaly detection to target the persona the most appropriate for this app
- Integration with phone camera, to enable snapshot on the go
- Platform notifications API supported by app and web-platform to enable the right information to be delivered at the right time
